How we write, check and correct articles

Last updated

This page explains who writes the articles on iGaming Gods, how they are produced and checked, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Bylines are team pen names

Our articles are published under team pen names. Each pen name stands for a real role in our team and the subjects that role covers, not for an individual. We do not attach credentials, employers, years of experience or awards to these bylines.

How articles are produced

Articles are drafted with AI assistance (Anthropic’s Claude models) inside an automated editorial pipeline:

  • Topic and overlap check. Topics come from our editorial plan. Before drafting, each topic is checked against existing articles on this site and on our sister site, so we do not publish two pages answering the same question.
  • Sources first. The pipeline fetches the source material itself: regulators, official documentation and industry media. A source that does not load is dropped. Drafts may only rely on sources that were actually fetched.
  • Automated fact-check. A second, separate model pass checks every factual claim against the text of those sources and against our own data. Each verified claim must quote its source word for word, and the system confirms the quote really appears in the source. Claims that cannot be verified are removed or softened.
  • Quality gates. Before publication, every article must pass automated checks: length and structure, at least four working sources, no player-facing content (no bonus offers, betting tips, “guaranteed” claims or predictions), no promotion of casino brands, compliance wording on operator-facing pages, a duplicate-content check against our existing articles, title and description limits, and a successful build of the site.
  • Publication. Articles that pass every check are published automatically; they are not individually approved by a person before going live. To keep quality ahead of volume, publishing is capped at three new articles per site per week, and a kill switch can pause it at any time, including automatically when search-indexing checks flag a problem.

Sources and our own data

Sources are listed at the end of each article. Some of our earliest guides were written before this process and do not list sources yet; they are being re-checked and sourced as they come up for review.

Where an article cites figures from our own network, they are anonymised and aggregated across at least three partner deals, and the article states the sample and the period they cover. We never publish partner, operator or player identities, and we do not publish a figure when the sample is too small.

Updates

Articles are re-verified on a rolling monthly schedule: facts and sources are checked again and the content is updated where needed. The Updated date on an article only changes when the content changes in a way a reader would notice, such as a corrected or updated fact, a new section or new data, never for cosmetic edits.

What we do not publish

We write for affiliates, media buyers and operators. We do not publish content for players: no casino reviews or rankings, no bonus offers, no betting tips and no predictions. Gambling is for adults 18+ (or the higher minimum age in your market) and only where legal.

Corrections

If you think something in an article is wrong or out of date, message us on Telegram at @iggteam with the page address and what you believe is incorrect, ideally with a source. When we confirm an error, we correct the article and move its Updated date.
